What to expect from this role?
We make sense of our customers' tracking data – you ensure our tailor-made IIOT-based systems are implemented to perfection so that they can collect the needed data.

At the heart of our track and trace platform are different IIOT devices and applications, which monitor our customers' assets and send these data further to our server product and customer's business application for analysis.

You will join our Central-European operations team in Switzerland, where we support some of our most long-term key customers and implement our systems to brand new industrial customers. Our office is in Gossau, but you can expect to travel roughly 50% of your time.

As our System Engineer you will be vital in implementing our track & trace solutions. You will mainly specify, test, commission, and support our customer systems.

Your primary tasks are:
  • Supporting the project team in hardware specification
  • Preparing and commissioning of hardware and software both at our office, and at customer premises
  • Technical support and customer service for existing systems
  • Managing mini-projects
  • Creating and updating customer specific documents and instructions
What do we expect from you?
You don’t have to be an expert in RFID or other IIOT technologies – we will teach you. If you are comfortable working with software and hardware and communicating in English and German, we think you will fit the team well.

The qualifications we are looking for in a candidate
  • A background in IT, electrical engineering, automation or other relevant experience
  • Business German and English
  • Ability and willingness to travel (driving licence would be needed)

We consider it an advantage if you
  • have good basic knowledge of network infrastructure and databases
  • have experience in device configuration and staging
  • can plan, prioritize and schedule your work
  • have interest in troubleshooting
Why us?
At the dawn of Industry 4.0 and the age of digitization, Turck Vilant Systems is at the heart of data needed to drive companies to the next level. As a result, our customers streamline their processes, redefine their operations, find new business and reduce waste with the help of the data collected by us.

We offer
Dynamic and informal working environment. Helpful colleagues. Flexibility.

If we wish to climb a mountain, we do it together, one step at a time. We offer you a vital role in supporting various solutions that enhance our customers’ physical business processes. With us, you will work in a truly international environment. Your customers are all around Europe, and you will be able to travel with the customer – sometimes even worldwide. In addition, implementing RFID solutions will give you an outlook on how industrial companies employ digitization daily.
